Benjamin Rockwell, the bespectacled nerd, launches into a large number of questions from various listeners around the country. One of the bigger questions Benjamin gets asked is why use the “nerd” moniker, and he opens with answering that. Chandra then asks about employers asking for social networking passwords, something that is now illegal in some states, and Benjamin covered a few more new tech and computer laws. Charlene’s question was about Virtual Machines and Virtualization, and Benjamin explained a bit about how that works. Deb Shadovitz joins in with a question from one of the fellow travelers and how to handle an iPhone that went swimming in the sea. Robert asked if he needed virus protection, or if Windows Defender would be enough. Ruby asked if she should the extended warranty on her new car, because of the computer chips in the car, and Valerie asked about RegCure and other fix-it programs. Stacia asks about New Years Resolutions, and Benjamin covers his Nerd Years Resolutions. Steve Keske answers Jeffrey’s questions about gift card do’s and dont’s. Benjamin closes out with information about next weeks International CES coverage, and how exciting it will be.
