Computer Talk Radio weekly show for the broadcast week starting February 16th, 2013. Our nerd glasses wearing host, Benjamin Rockwell, opens with the news of the past week, including a decline in cell phone sales, Apple’s resizing of stores, the super-computer Watson (from IBM) searching for a cure for cancer, the DHS throwing away the 4th Amendment, and more. Regev Yativ from Magic Software then joins Benjamin to discuss the new workplace issues of BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices) and how that is impacting businesses and workers. Benjamin then talks about the Solar Maximum, solar flares, electromagnetic pulses, and what it means for technology, then talks about dealing with dead pixels on your monitors or LCD televisions. Steve joins in with the Goofy Geeky Gadget Corner and talks about some of the cool things he has seen in recent months that are exciting in the tech world. Benjamin then launches into a review of Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet, and his opinions of it’s place in the sales realm, then he wraps up while noting that Microsoft’s numbers and “sell-outs” of product are odd and suspicious, and may reflect a lack of initial product in the first place.
