Computer Talk Radio weekly show for the broadcast week starting November 9th, 2013. Our nerd host, Benjamin Rockwell, begins as always, with the tech news of the last week, including Twitter’s IPO, Tim Berners-Lee and his comments about the NSA, government ideas of GPS tracking of autistic children, and more. Benjamin then guides you through Christmas shopping on the Internet, being wary of some of the smaller companies, being careful to use secure websites, tricks to avoid spam, and more. Deb Shadovitz then joins in to talk about Mavericks, the latest release of the Mac Operating System software (OS X). Then Benjamin addresses Charlie’s questions in regards to replacing a video card, and Benjamin covers many of the other products that you might replace in your computer, and the fact that it’s easier than you might think. Steve Keske then joins Benjamin to discuss electronic instruments and their manufacturers, like Moog, Kurzweil, and the Theremin, and where we might be going in the future. Benjamin then closes out with a commentary on binge watching TV, and how his family has transitioned into a new program from binge watching into the current and new season of a new favorite program.
