I will probably talk about this as a topic sometime soon, rather than a news item, but it was an interesting read. This crosses between addictions, but also overbearing parent Luddite behavior in a world where tech familiarity is going to be the difference between the classes. This journey escalates from their own youth, to the parents telling other kids to give up their phones in the house.

Last June, at age 17, she went to live with a friend and her family. She worked part-time and paid for her own phone and car insurance. Her parents continued to reach out to her and she would have lunch with them occasionally and stop by to see her siblings.
