The like button, which started as just the one, then moved to a limited series of faces as well, may be on it’s way out. Facebook is taking it away from the folks in Australia, seeing if that will “remove the pressure of how many likes a post will receive”. Perhaps it will put pressure on us to be more vocal, instead, when we are supporting our friends, which may be a good move.
The social media giant will test hiding the number of likes, reactions and views that posts get.
