Your conversations in my home may be recorded for quality control purposes.” Rick Osterloh, of Google, has suggested that if you have a Nest (or other smarthome device), that you should tell all of your guests about the spying and recording capabilities that might occur. I never really considered such an approach, but it has some interesting merit.
While smart home devices like Amazon’s Echo certainly make our lives a little bit easier, the trade-off is that things you say in the privacy of your own home might not actually be that private.
