Again, we learn of a tech giant gathering data from an questionable location. In this case, Google is gathering sensitive data, but is apparently accessible by people who are not medical staff. HIPAA regulations may be followed now, but is Google a company that can be trusted in this? We’ve already heard time and time again about Google’s violations of privacy, and they seem to only be outdone by Facebook in that arena.

Google is teaming with one of the country’s largest health-care systems on an ambitious project named “Project Nightingale” to collect and crunch detailed health information of millions of Americans across 21 states.
