In what will eventually become a built-in tool to protect themselves, Uber has started a voluntary audio recording of your ride. Eventually this may become an obscure option to turn off, and then disappear from view, as we add one more intrusion into our privacy. I applaud the option to do this, but frankly, if one is concerned, they can start up one of many other recording apps on their own.
People will apparently be able to choose whether to have their journey recorded.
