The new statistics are in, talking about how much time that we devote to the small screen, arguing in front of it, and even how much time we spend deciding what to watch next… 2943 hours, if you’re interested. The results don’t tell us how much this affects our lives in other ways, but it does feel a bit disturbing.
A recent survey finds that the average TV viewer will watch an astounding 78,705 hours of programming (movies, sports, news, etc) in their lifetime.
This translates to 3250 full and complete days. Another approach is 8.9 years. Over 10 percent of our lives, and nearly 20 percent of our waking hours.
