If you listen to Computer Talk Radio for 2 minutes, Netflix’s new statistics would count that as you having heard the entire show. This new playing with numbers increases some of their viewership by millions, and messes with the reality of TV. You haven’t even watched the credits of most shows in that time. Even crazier, that same amount says that you watched an entire series. Two minutes means twenty four hours? I don’t think so…
What does it mean to “watch” a show on a streaming service? For Netflix Inc., it now means viewing at least two minutes.
