As it is with business, government is also leveraging technology to improve numbers. To some, this scary side will include increased scrutiny by AI of our tax returns. I’m not as concerned as others, but it does provide an interesting insight into where we may be in twenty years.
Governments are increasingly relying on machine learning and data analytics to analyze troves of data as they seek to detect tax evasion, respond to taxpayers’ questions and make themselves more efficient.
