A government agency, Customs and Border Protection has admitted there is no practical way for you to avoid their privacy intrusion. They are tracking cars via license plate readers scattered across the country. You can opt-out, however… with the instructions as follows: “avoid the impacted area”. DUH WHAT? Yep, they even admit that it’s not realistic, and they don’t care.
The agency also warned that it can search license plate data from “anywhere in the United States.”
