Booking.com won a major argument that it could trademark it’s whole name. The fight came down to the word Booking, versus Booking.com. This will pave the way for other companies to trademark their entire name, without having to worry about the common words involved in their name. Amazon.com, for instance. ComputerTalkRadio.com is another one… when I’m rich and famous.

The Supreme Court said that while “booking” is a generic term, booking.com isn’t necessarily so.
