While it is a favorite place for some to shop on Thanksgiving Day, Walmart will be closing this year on Thanksgiving for the first time since the 1980’s. Their feel good message of a day a home with family rings solid with me, especially after a year like this. I hope that others will follow suit. And people who want their tech fix, they can shop elsewhere.
Walmart said on Tuesday that it plans to close stores on Thanksgiving. The move ends the retailer’s tradition of starting its in-store Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day. The closure will also extend to the Walmart-owned warehouse retailer Sam’s Club.
