I am aware that I have listening devices in my home. We all do, if we have one of those smart speaker devices, or smartphones. The idea that they are updating them to listen for more than our commands, our voices, is creepy, but not unexpected. This violation of privacy continues, and as a part of that, I’m cautious about what I say around them. Winston Smith also had to be careful.
