I didn’t think that I would get into the mask debate in all of this. No tech. No computers. But somehow, someone made the connection… that attendees to meetings on Zoom should wear masks, even if at home alone, for “the safety and health of others”. To say that I’m dumbfounded is an understatement.

Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources has made the peculiar demand to require all employees to wear a mask during video conferences, even if they are home by themselves.

The group’s secretary, Preston Cole, offered the reminder to all Wisconsin DNR officials:

“Also, wear your mask, even if you are home, to participate in a virtual meeting that involves being seen — such as on Zoom or another video-conferencing platform — by non-DNR staff,” Cole said, according to local media. “Set the safety example which shows you as a DNR public service employee care about the safety and health of others.”
