Google giving up on Google Pay is a strange thing indeed. Now, this is eliminating the original App, and the web side, in favor of pushing people to the new app only. Now, that does mean moving towards smartphones which drives more money for Google, so I get it. It just seems to me that if you want people to use your product, that you’ll have as many avenues as possible for your customers to use.
The new Google Pay experience makes a lot of big promises, but also comes with some caveats. Google Pay is raising transfer fees and killing its web app.
