One of the big names in the cybersecurity world has been breached. FireEye was hacked by what is believed to be Russian intelligence operatives. Several major US Government departments, Treasury, Homeland Security, State, NIH, and more, but also businesses have been caught in this attack. The maker of SolarWinds admitted that their own software had a backdoor installed in the latest patch. Even worse, some of the attack tools used by FireEye for penetration testing are also now stolen. This means big stuff, and we don’t know where it will end.

“There’s not a single organization who can claim cybersecurity perfection.”
