The most meteoric rise to the top of the rich in modern history is now Elon Musk. At a valuation of $185 Billion, he’s showing no signs of stopping. The richest in the world, but a year ago, he was only able to brag about top 50. Tesla is the big driver for him, but his other ventures also helped. Please remember that, just like his rockets, this could all disintegrate into a puff of smoke if something goes wrong. Many have stated that Tesla is way overvalued. Still, he has other ventures that are also riding these coattails.
Thursday’s increase in Tesla’s share price pushed Musk past Jeff Bezos, who had been the richest person since 2017 and is currently worth about $184 billion.
