Before we freak out too much, Linux has been run on most hardware. This was a matter of developing the right drivers for it. They did this on the back of a distro for Raspberry Pi, which will make the response time even more absolutely impressive. Corellium, the company who did it, is the same one that won a recent lawsuit against Apple, and that’s also impressive. I’m seriously digging this!

Linux has now been successfully ported to run on Apple’s M1 Macs. Corellium, makers of a virtual iPhone, has released a tutorial for getting Ubuntu running on an M1 Mac.
