One of the big names in furniture, Ikea, has picked up a $16 million stake in what3words. I love this app, and how it works… naming off three words like helper.orchestral.basing, which is the front door to my mailbox company… is amazing. It’s a 3 meter square location, and can be used to spot anything anywhere. I’m curious as to Ikea’s end goals, but perhaps they are looking to improve their deliveries as well. Personally, I think Amazon packages to that location would be better!

Ingka Group, the owner of most IKEA stores, has bought a 12 million pound ($16 million) stake in what3words, the London-based technology startup that has divided the world into three metre squares to help pinpoint locations.
