Microsoft’s augmented reality headsets are coming… just not to us. 120,000 of them will be outfitted onto helmets for the US Army. It is a promising advance for the tech, and when the military budgets fund research and development, the general public frequently benefits from the boost. Am I keen that it’s built by the same folks that gave us the blue screen of death? Not really.

It’s a huge deal in terms of money and the future of AR.
