The National Archives handle information on all of our former Presidents. This is a standard goal to ensure that all information is protected from editors, both positive and negative. Twitter, however, has blocked the Archives from archiving President Trump’s tweets… to some extent. Twitter doesn’t want these on their platform, so the Archives have to find a new way to document all. If he’s so bad, everyone should know. If he’s so good, why prevent publication. Even this bit of archival has found controversy, and it’s sad to me.

For years, the National Archives has used Twitter to maintain preserved versions of former government officials’ posts from their time in office.
