Do you like offices? Cubicles OK? What about open floorplans? What about no floorplan at all? Dropbox is in the middle of implementing a work concept called a Studio. Everything is movable, wide open, and revolves around fancy library concepts where everyone sees everyone, and nobody has an assigned seat. For extroverts, or people who thrive on chaos, this may work. Unfortunately, I know people in my life that are introverts, require quiet, or calm to work. I’m not sure how this will play out, but it’s something new to watch.

Dropbox announced in October that it’s going virtual first, so employees can decide where and how they want to work. And that starts with Studios, Dropbox’s approach to physical spaces that work for everyone.
