The creep factor of Facebook manipulation is continuing to rise. Now, you might see a screen that says “are you concerned that someone you know is becoming an extremist”. It then offers help and support. The problem is that we all live on a political spectrum with our own ideas of freedom, extremism, and so forth. This era of reporting others, or seeking help from what you might be triggered by, is not conducive to open minds, becoming better individuals.
Some Facebook users in the United States are being served a prompt that asks if they are worried that someone they know might be becoming an extremist. Others are being notified that they may have been exposed to extremist content.
