Intel’s announcement that they will not raise prices, even though there will be chip shortages seems strange. If they can’t get materials, and can’t make chips, the industry will self-adjust and raise the price without Intel’s involvement. This is how economics work, as far as I know. It is something that is going to affect us over time, so please be aware of price changes coming our way.

Intel is warning that materials shortages will prevent it from making as many processors it could sell for several quarters, but the company won’t be passing along higher prices to PC customers.
