Facebook brought forth a new idea to bring VR to our homes, in the form of us using it to work from home. Current Oculus Quest 2 users will be able to join in conference rooms and the hardware will track movements and try to bring together a realistic world. I’m not sure that I buy into this. I’ve been working from home for as long as everyone else now, and we don’t even bother with cameras on all but the most rare calls. Audio is sufficient for most people, unless you really want that videophone experience… with your coworkers.
