So what is going on with Windows 11 and older computers. My personal theory is that it’s here to render old hardware obsolete, and make us have to make the next move towards upgrading. Some older hardware has been allowed in the Insider’s Preview program, but they are starting to phase that out in favor of computers that are only a few years old. The current roadmap indicates that even with computers that will be supported now, future updates are no longer promised, based only on the whims of those in Redmond.
Microsoft always said unsupported Insider PCs will be kicked out of Windows 11 previews eventually, but the timing sure is interesting.
