While Amazon is still working on some components in various areas, like the last mile, that is amazing for a company that a few years back had very little shipping infrastructure. UPS controlled 24% of the market in 2020, and looking at the trends, I think they’ll surpass them easily in 2021. Amazon earned about half of every dollar spent on online shipping last year, and it all started with selling a few books.
Logistics is a $1.5 trillion business, and Amazon is gaining ground.
