Ironically, Facebooks next smallest story this week was dwarfed by that outage. A whistleblower appeared before a Senate panel, begging them to stop the unhealthy issues of addiction, women’s self image disruption, and more. The FB response was to deny everything and malign the witness. My own opinion is that 535 legislators in DC are not exactly skilled enough with tech to put out a simple email, let alone make laws that could impact tech in draconian ways. I wish there were a better solution in-between self-governance of tech companies and those in Washington.
