Miami’s mayor has an idea of becoming a crypto-capital, by dealing in bitcoin for any and all who desire. Employee’s, residents, and even holding it on the balance sheet are of interest to Mayor Suarez. I like the idea of enabling it as a currency, but I am also concerned that the volatility of the currency may place him in a situation where Miami feels a bitter sting of the rise and fall of the same. Time will tell what happens here, and many could say that I’ve been foolish to not invest, but that’s my approach still today.
