I’m both amazed and yet not surprised that Amazon has built up an amazing advertising business. $31 billion is what they made, and that’s mixed amongst so many areas of traditional online advertising. Banner ads, videos, sponsored ads on search engine results, and more. Of course, much of those ads point to it’s own connections within the retail space, with connections to purchase from… oh yeah, the biggest online retailer. A self-serving business that isn’t so surprising after all.
The company for years kept the size of its budding ad empire under wraps.
