The time change was this past weekend, and the Senate agreed together that it was time to make Daylight Saving Time a permanent fixture in the US. My own spin on things is even further… everyone should go to UTC, and forget about trying to figure out if the meeting is at 2pm or 3pm because Joe is a few miles away. No more mental gymnastics, just a knowledge that you work from one time to another. I’d even be inclined to support a conversion to the 24 hour clock, as most devices support that too. This is one item where I feel it’s time we think globally. Still, on to the House of Reps to decide our time’s fate.
The draft law still needs to pass the House.
