Perhaps I’m sheltered, but I’ve never heard of a company changing it’s mind on pricing for people who were already customers. Starlink is following with their sister company, Solar City, and telling customers that if they want delivery, it’ll now be more expensive. Get ready to hear from your Tesla dealer that your contracted and ordered car will be $10,000 more, just because they want more money. Starlink is bumping the hardware purchase by 10%, or 20% for all new orders, and the monthly rate is another $11 now.
In a new email sent to Starlink customers, SpaceX announced new price hikes to the internet-from-space service, increasing monthly charges from $99 to $110 and starter kit prices from $499 to $599.
