Meta, the Zuckerberg empire, has decided to show Apple and Google what he thinks about their 30% take of every app sold in their respective app stores. Asking for up to 47.5% percent on every virtual product is just amazing. This charge is split between Meta’s store fees and Meta’s platform fees. It’s a deep dive into making money off of everyone. I think Meta is already moving torwards a point where people aren’t going to be interested, but I could be wrong.
Meta and its CEO Mark Zuckerberg have previously criticised Apple for charging developers a 30% fee for in-app purchases via the App Store.
