Interestingly, Amazon announced something new in the leadup to Prime Day. Amazon Prime is getting into the food delivery game by leveraging a deal with GrubHub. Now, you’ll pay nothing for a year, but after that, you’ll pay the usual fee of $9.99 a month for the deliveries. It’s similar to a number of the various teaser offerings from companies like Hulu, gyms, cable companies, phone companies, and other industries that lure you in with an insanely low offer, and beat you up later. Still, a year of free food deliveries over $12 seems like something to consider.
Amazon Prime members can now get a free one-year membership to Grubhub Plus for $0 food delivery fees on orders over $12.
