Websites are frequently updated with news quickly, but none with more planning and sorrow, than the passing of a great figure. It should be no surprise that the passing of Queen Elizabeth at 96, resulted in a very well orchestrated update of the many sites affiliated with the monarch and the royal family. The plans for the updates have been in place for probably as long as the websites existed, just as they have been for the media, and the many operations involving Her Majesty. Not known for being into tech, she had good knowledge of cars and trucks from her experience in WWII, and had much admiration from car nerds.

The monarchy had a plan in place for years. With the a flip of a switch, the internet went into mourning.
