Boston Dynamics has been making robots for years. Backed by the government in the DARPA projects… they’ve built a number of prototype robots, humanoid and canine style. If you’ve watched more than a half dozen clips of real robots, you’ve probably seen one. Boston Dynamics have joined multiple other majors in a pledge to not weaponize their robots. It does beg the question… isn’t this a Department of Defense project? Yep… ahh well, they are thinking about the ethics, and that promises to protect us for a while.
