The former CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, went on TV and claimed that he didn’t try to commit fraud, that he should have done a better job, that he was only worth $100k, and had only one credit card left. This is after it came out that he contributed $40 million to Democrats (being their 2nd largest donor in 2022). He then claimed he contributed tons of cash to Republicans, but then nobody could find it. Likewise, Elon Musk was brought into this mess when Bankman-Fried said he owned $100 million in Twitter stock, and Musk said “huh, what? Excuse me?”.
