The FAA had a massive outage this week that kept planes grounded in the second major airline debacle in a month. Early reports were hinting at hackers, foreign states attacking us, but the news came out on Thursday that it was a damaged database file. There was a little part of humor and reality as part of the fix. It seems even the massive systems for all of the air travel, is a reboot… yep, turning it off and on again, is how you fix this behemoth system. They did this early Wednesday morning, knowing it may take 90 minutes, but due to the age of the system, it took a bit longer.
