An interesting article came out, appearing to advocate keeping ChatGPT and similar AI out of the hands of foreign interests. Certain things, like cryptology, and higher end CPUs are already controlled, and the article went into the idea of using generative AI to develop propaganda far faster than the normal person can. This being open source technology, leave this to being an interesting approach, as open source is open to everyone. Further, many of these technologies are webbased, including this little search engine called Bing. It’ll be interesting to see if we can contain something like this.
