Microsoft Windows 11 may start putting a warning watermark on some computers that somehow have Windows 11 without the minimum system requirements as determined by Microsoft. The idea is to shame you by placing this warning up on the screen, in the hopes that you’ll upgrade. The problem I see, as others have, is that this is going to be an annoyance, and will only serve to irritate people who didn’t have the budget to buy a computer with the TPM 2.0 feature, so they installed a patch to allow install. This is a bigger problem in that the hardware can actually run Windows 11 without a problem… it just might not be as secure.
Don’t shame people on older PCs, Microsoft – drop Windows 11’s ridiculous requirements instead.
