Zoom, the video chat company made popular by the pandemic, and the lack of others in a serious position like they were, is now coming across harder times. The top indicator is their layoff this week of 15% of staff, or about 1300 employees. This has been something that I think they knew was coming. They were the leaders, but never managed the monetization that would bring super success.
Zoom is the latest of tech companies to enact major layoffs as we return to normalcy post-pandemic.
