The death knell sounded this week for Windows 10. Microsoft announced that Version 22H2 is the last feature update. From here out, it’ll be security patches only until October 2025, or at least then. Why do I say that? Because Microsoft has a very long history of saying “here’s the drop dead date” then revising by a year at least once, if not more. The article from PC World still does mention that it’s a difficult sell to move to Windows 11, and I’m not one to disagree with that assessment. Like moving from a Ferrari to a beat-up Chevy Cavalier.
Microsoft has issued a roadmap update that says that Windows 10 22H2 will be the last feature update for Windows 10 before it goes out of support.
