Adobe Photoshop, already known for making amazing pictures, including a bit of fakery, has a new feature. They introduced their Firefly product, an AI image generation into Photoshop, so you can add in content on the fly while you’re editing pictures. The demonstrations of the service were quite amazing, and in the coming months we’ll see it rolled out to Photoshop users, and used extensively to create imagery previously only available in our mind. I see promise for filling screens with new ideas, but want to see something that clearly identifies images as being figments of someone’s computer’s imagination.
Adobe has already dipped into the world of generative AI, with the introduction of Adobe Firefly in March. The company is now bringing generative AI to Photoshop to help you fix and remix your images.
