Microsoft is pushing hard on the advertising for Windows 11. They decided to come out with a long article on their Windows Blogs about how great things are. I didn’t have to pass the headline to find their first mistake. “Delivering Delightful Performance for More than One Billion Users Worldwide”, intimating that they have that Billion on Windows 11. Worldwide PCs of all types are estimated at somewhere between 1.5 and 2 Billion active, and the numbers for Windows 11 are somewhere just reaching 9% worldwide. So, clearly they’re pushing the entire Windows stats to advertise their Windows 11 dreams. This also is a recurring theme as Microsoft has long held that their worst versions, like Windows 2000, Vista, and 8, were somehow so much better than they were.

Over the past year, we have made major strides in improving fundamentals across Windows. From enhancing Windows’ speed and reliability to optimizing the performance of its flagship applications to improving Window’s sustainability, we have been working diligently to deliver faster, more reliable, and more efficient computing experiences that our users love.
