Apple haters got excited this earlier this week when Facebook announced they were pulling Messenger from the Apple Watch. In my mind, this isn’t about Apple, as people have realized that some apps are natural on phones and others are not. This is, however, about Facebook, who clearly knows the usage of that app, and what it’s not becoming. Facebook badly needs to clean house, figure out their direction, and drive more people to their products. Time is running out as they seem rudderless after the large amounts in areas that have not realized enough return on investment.
Another major app is dropping full support for the Apple Watch, with Facebook now alerting users that Facebook Messenger will no longer be available as an Apple Watch app.
