Microsoft Surface Pro X users ran into a major problem on Tuesday. A recent update happens to kill both of the cameras on this system. The fix reported by some knowing users was to backdate your system to May 22nd. Others suggested purchasing a new camera. This may be a setback to Microsoft who has been trying for years to push the ARM processor in these budget units instead of the Intel-based processors normally found in laptops. Microsoft has acknowledged the issue, but as of Thursday night, they still hadn’t provided a fix for the guesstimated million or so users of the hardware. Perhaps Microsoft could ask Bing’s AI how to fix it…

Multiple reports of malfunctioning cameras and a surprisingly simple solution point to a widespread issue on Microsoft’s part.
