Netflix finally made the official announcement on the account sharing issue. The amount was predicted to be an additional $8 a month, and was accurate. Netflix is rolling this out, and a portion of users are announcing their exit from the service. Netflix has already tested this out elsewhere around the world, and found that the impact on them was a positive cash flow situation. They lost some users, but so many more new users or additional members on existing accounts came along. As the number 1 streaming service, they are out in front of Amazon by 30 million users. HBO revamped their same-priced services this week as well, adding massive amounts of content.

To combat password sharing, Netflix said it will limit U.S. viewership of its programming to people living in the same household. A standard plan currently costs $15.50 per month.
