On Thursday, reports came forward from Pakistan that internet access had been blocked. This was after protests came forward after their former Prime Minister was arrested. Pakistan is also the 5th most populous country in the world, with over 200 million people who have been cut-off from this basic modern information, education, and communication tool.
“NetBlocks metrics confirm the disruption of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube on multiple internet providers in Pakistan on Tuesday 9 May 2023. Additionally, total internet shutdowns have been observed on mobile networks in some regions,” the outfit stated.
